Lantern Run School Race Bradenton, FL (02.27.2016)

Featured Project

We worked with an Elementary school in Florida to put on a 5K for their running club.

The event was also open to the public to help raise funds for the school. The event brought in about 230 participants total; a little less than half came from the school itself. The run required several departments approval with the County, street closures with County deputies, and 3 of our staff to setup the course, coordinate all of the vendors, and manage packet pickup area and the race site.

It took about 2 months total from the initial planning to working with the City, getting everything in place, and getting the word out. Because the expenses were heavy, the event only profited by a couple hundred dollars but the school was able to raise a few thousand dollars through sponsors and companies that were willing to benefit the school race.

All-in-all it was a lot of hard work for a first-time event that was out-of-town for us but it was a lot of fun!
